Every time when I´m packing for some new adventures I can´t help thinking of my all-time favorite and hero from the Finnish children books, Moomins. This little guy called Snufkin is a super relaxed, zen-like wanderer, poet and musician who´s always on the road carrying the smallest and lightest back bag you could imagine. He never worries about anything and he has this very simple philosophy: “I live all over the place. Today I happen to be here. Tomorrow I will be somewhere else. I wander about as I please. When I find a place I like, I pitch my tent and play my harmonica.”
Tomorrow I will be on the plane heading to the buzzy Mumbai. I really enjoy the restless feeling before the departure, but I would lie if I said that I enjoy the packing part of it. This time I have decided to travel very light as well, which makes it even more difficult! But I try to keep myself cool and calm as Snufkin, and that is the attitude you need in a place like India. I have started preparing myself mentally, changing my "chip", changing my approach... And I´m so ready and looking forward to it! This special year will end in a very special way for me.
The rest, I´ll tell you later...
"Today we must do something very special, for it will be a glorious day." - Snufkin
