Benefits: This yoga posture is practiced after Halasana (Plow Pose) and is said to alleviate tinnitus, ringing in the ears and deafness. The pose is also a complete extension of the spine and stretches the neck, shoulders and lower back. It also helps to increase the blood circulation around the waist area for good digestion and obesity problems and alleviates stress and keeps the mind calm.

Contradictions: People who suffer from neck, back or sharp variations of blood pressure should avoid doing this exercise.
