“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.”

— Aadil Palkhivala

Today we want to present this amazing yoga periodical, Yoke Quarterly, which seeks the connection between the ancient art of practice and yoga in modern living. This digital yoga magazine is full of interesting articles and pretty images. It's one of our favourites and we think you should check it out if you haven't already done so.

Jill & Vanessa from Yoke Quarterly sent us a couple of beautiful images for our inspiration this weekend, together with Rumi's words from "Sweet-Talked Into Connection", as translated by Coleman Banks.

We want to thank these ladies for their lovely contribution.

Hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

If you are an arc of the moon, live the full circle.

As a genus branches and becomes a species, so the unseen reaches here.

You have learned ways to make a living for your body. Now learn to support your soul. You wear fine clothing. How do you dress your spirit?

Enlightenment is bringing a state of meditativeness into the smallest acts of your day to day life in its expression of each and every movement of the body each and every it totally perfectly harmoniously...with your total attention and love and you will see that your deepest centre starts connecting to each and every act of yours. This is how you bring the buddha into your life.
