Chakras are several energy points of our body where the prana, life energy, flows through. The name “chakra” comes from Sanskrit word “wheel” which quite well describes the function. Chakra points are located along the central channel, sushumna, which can be found in the spine.
Chakras can be deficient or excessive in our body, which result to imbalance. With yoga practice we can heal these points and balance them, by doing poses which correspond to each chakra. These practices help un-blocking the channels and clearing the path to higher consciousness.
