“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.”

The full moon will light up the sky tonight.
During the full moon both the sun and moon are exercise gravitational forces towards the earth causing pulls of the tides, waves and oceans. A big portion of our being consists of water and that’s why we are very affected by this natural action, much like these forces of nature we have grown to fear.
The full moon energy corresponds to the end of inhalation when the force of prana is greatest. This is an expansive, upward moving force that makes us feel energetic and emotional, but not well grounded.
This is why we should pay attention of the moon cycle also when practicing yoga. On a full moon it is better to observe your body, slow down and try to keep yourself as grounded as possible. Online you can actually find many yoga sequences created especially for these days of the month. For example, we like this moon sequence of Shiva Rea on Yoga Journal.
So let's lit a lot of candles placing them around us and keep the practice nice and soft these days.
HAPPY FULL MOON!
